We were contacted by the owner of Burstwick Service Station in April 2024, as their recent business expansion had brought with it an estimated annual electricity usage of approximately 50,000kWh. So, we were asked if we could help reduce these costs .
After a detailed site survey, we made proposals to install a number of Solar PV panels to the main building of the Service Station, which had a new roof: We planned out 20 x 525w Longhi panels for the Eastern aspect and a further 17 panels to the Western aspect. In addition, we allowed for a Solax 20kW Hybrid 3 Phase Inverter and a Solax 14.5kW battery stack.
This comprehensive system will allow the business to generate in the region of 19,000kWh per annum, thereby substantially reducing their reliance on the national grid and significantly reducing their electricity costs.
